ABOUT OCEANMINGLE

What is OceanMingle?

OceanMingle is the Social Discovery Platform for Shared Experiences.
It gives people an easier way to discover who is sharing the same experience, explore profiles, understand who resonates with them, and decide who they would like to connect with.
Each supported experience creates its own relevant community within OceanMingle.
Each user is placed into the correct voyage group based on the cruise line, ship, departure port, and departure date, "Voyage", ensuring that every interaction is relevant to the trip they are on.

Are passengers and crew mixed together in the app?

OceanMingle currently supports:

Cruise
Festival Cruise
Music Festival

More shared experiences will be activated over time.

How do I join an experience?

When selecting a new experience, you will first use the Experience Selector to choose the type of experience you are attending.
You will then be shown the relevant selection options to find your specific community.
The information required varies by experience. For example, selecting a Cruise community is different from selecting a Music Festival community.

Can I use OceanMingle for more than one experience?

Yes.
Your OceanMingle account can be used across multiple supported experiences and communities.
However, only one community can be active at a time.
You can move between your available experiences and communities as often as you like, but multiple communities are not open simultaneously.

Can I join an experience before it starts?

Yes, where the upcoming experience is available for selection.
This allows you to discover other people who will be sharing the same experience before it begins.

SWITCHING EXPERIENCES & COMMUNITIES

How do I switch to another community within the same experience?

When you are inside an experience, you can only select communities belonging to that particular experience type
For example, if you are currently within the Cruise experience, you can select another available Cruise community without returning to the main Experience Selector.

How do I join a different type of experience?

If you want to move from one experience type to another, go to your Profile and select Find Your Next Experience.
This will take you back to the Experience Selector, where you can choose another available experience type.
For example:
Cruise → Profile → Find Your Next Experience → Music Festival
You can then select the specific Music Festival community you want to join

Can I switch back and forth between experiences?

Yes.
You can move between your available experiences and communities as often as you like.
Only one community is active at a time, but you continue using the same OceanMingle account

Do I need to create another account when I change experiences?

No.
Your OceanMingle profile stays with you.
Whether you are joining a Cruise, Festival Cruise, Music Festival or another supported experience in the future, you continue using the same OceanMingle account.
One account. Multiple shared experiences. One active community at a time.

DISCOVERING PEOPLE

How does OceanMingle help me discover people?

OceanMingle allows you to explore profiles of people sharing the same experience.
You can learn more about the people within your community, understand who resonates with you, and decide who you may want to connect with.
The purpose is simple: make discovering the people sharing your experience easier rather than leaving every opportunity entirely to chance.

Who can see my profile?

Your profile visibility depends on the experience and community you have joined.
Within the Cruise experience, passenger and crew environments remain strictly separated.

Does OceanMingle show other users my exact location?

No.
OceanMingle does not display your precise real-time location to other users.
The platform is designed around people sharing the same experience rather than exposing their exact location.

MESSAGING

Can I message other people?

Yes, subject to the messaging rules available within your experience and account.
OceanMingle's private messaging allows users to continue a conversation after discovering someone they would like to connect with.

Can Cruise passengers message crew members?

No.
Within the Cruise experience, passengers and crew have separate environments.
Direct passenger-to-crew messaging is not available.

EVENTS & MEETUPS

What are Events?

Events are community-created activities and meetups within an OceanMingle experience.
They allow users to create opportunities for other members of their community to get together around something they would like to do.

Examples can include:

Coffee catch-ups
Group dinners
Games
Workouts
Pre-event meetups
Social gatherings
Other community-created activities

Can I create my own event or meetup?

Yes.
Users can create their own events and meetups within their active community, allowing other eligible members of that community to join.

Are events inside OceanMingle official events organised by the festival,cruise line or venue?

Not necessarily.
Many events within OceanMingle are user-generated meetups created by members of thecommunity.
Always check the event information to understand who created it and whether it is an officialor community-created activity.

OPTIONAL DATING

Does OceanMingle have a dating feature?

Yes.
OceanMingle includes an optional Dating feature for adults who would like to explore connections beyond social discovery.
OceanMingle is not a dating-only platform. Dating is an optional feature within the broader
OceanMingle experience.

Do I have to use Dating?

No.
Dating is completely optional.
If you do not want to participate, you can leave Dating turned off and continue using OceanMingle's other social discovery and community features.

Who can see me in Dating?

Only eligible users participating in Dating within the relevant experience can appear in the Dating environment.
Within the Cruise experience, passenger and crew Dating remains strictly separated.
Passengers can only match with passengers.
Crew can only match with crew

What happens when I match with someone?

When two users mutually match, they can communicate through OceanMingle's private messaging functionality.

CRUISE EXPERIENCE

How do I join my Cruise community?

Select Cruise from the Experience Selector and enter the requested voyage information so OceanMingle can identify the relevant Cruise community.

Are passengers and crew together inside the Cruise experience?

No.
Passengers and crew have completely separate environments within the Cruise experience.
Passengers cannot browse crew profiles, participate in crew-only activities, use Dating with crew members, or privately message crew members.

Can passengers communicate with crew?

Direct communication between passengers and crew is not available within OceanMingle.
Digital tipping is the permitted passenger-to-crew interaction within the platform.

Can crew use OceanMingle?

Yes.
Crew members have access to their own dedicated environment within the Cruise experience, separate from passengers.
This allows crew to participate in the relevant OceanMingle features within their own crew community.

Can passengers tip crew members?

Yes.
OceanMingle allows passengers to digitally recognise and thank crew members through the tipping feature.
Digital tipping does not enable private passenger-to-crew messaging

FESTIVAL CRUISE EXPERIENCE

What is the Festival Cruise experience?

Festival Cruise is designed for people attending supported festival cruises.
It allows participants to join the community associated with their specific Festival Cruise and use OceanMingle's social discovery, messaging, community events and optional Dating features within that experience.

How do I join my Festival Cruise?

Select Festival Cruise from the Experience Selector and choose the relevant Festival Cruise from the available options.
Follow the selection process to join the correct community for your experience.

Can I join my Festival Cruise before departure?

Yes, where the upcoming Festival Cruise is available for selection.
This allows you to start discovering other people sharing the experience before departure.

Is Festival Cruise the same as the regular Cruise experience?

Festival Cruise and Cruise both operate within the OceanMingle platform, but they are separate experience types with their own communities and selection processes.

MUSIC FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE

What is the Music Festival experience?

The Music Festival experience allows people attending supported multi-day music festivals to discover others sharing the same festival experience.
Users can explore their festival community, discover people, privately message, participate in community-created events and optionally use Dating.

How do I find my Music Festival?

Select Music Festival from the Experience Selector.
You can then select your festival and the relevant available edition to join the correct community.

Can I join my Music Festival before it starts?

Yes, where the upcoming festival edition is available for selection.
Joining beforehand gives you the opportunity to discover other attendees and become part of the community before arriving at the festival.

Are OceanMingle meetups organised by the festival?

Not necessarily.
OceanMingle allows users to create their own meetups and activities within their festival community.
Unless specifically identified otherwise, a community-created event should not be assumed to be organised, sponsored or endorsed by the festival organiser.

HISTORY & MEMORIES

What happens when my experience ends?

Once an experience has ended, it becomes part of your History rather than remaining as your active community.
This keeps your current OceanMingle experience focused while preserving a record of the experiences you have previously joined.

Where can I find my past experiences?

Your previous experiences are stored in the History section of the app.
History provides a record of your past OceanMingle experiences and communities

Can I go back into a past community?

Past experiences are archived in your History and are no longer active communities.
You can return to a past experience through History to revisit the memories and photos associated with it, but the community itself is no longer active.

What happens to my photos after an experience ends?

Photos associated with your past experiences remain available through History, allowing you to revisit memories from previous experiences.
Your memories remain connected to the experience where they were created.

SAFETY

What safety features does OceanMingle provide?

OceanMingle includes safety tools designed to support users while participating in shared experiences.
Available functionality may depend on the experience and can include:

Lost Child Alert
SOS
QR Identity Verification
Blocking
Reporting

What is the Lost Child Alert?

The Lost Child Alert is designed to help quickly alert the relevant OceanMingle community when a child is reported missing within a supported experience.
It is an additional community safety tool and does not replace contacting event staff, venue security, cruise crew, police or emergency services where appropriate.

What does the SOS feature do?

The SOS feature provides access to OceanMingle's emergency functionality.
It is designed as an additional safety tool and should not be considered a replacement for local emergency services or official venue, festival or cruise emergency procedures.

What is QR Identity Verification?

QR Identity Verification provides an additional way for users meeting through OceanMingleto confirm that the person they are meeting corresponds with the relevant OceanMingleprofile.

Can I block or report another user?

Yes.
If another user makes you uncomfortable, behaves inappropriately or violates OceanMingle's rules, you can use the Block and Report functions.

PRIVACY & DATA

Does OceanMingle track my exact real-time location?

No.
OceanMingle does not display or use your precise real-time location to show other users exactly where you are.
Users are connected through their shared experience and community rather than precise location tracking.

Is my profile visible to everyone using OceanMingle?

No.
Your profile visibility is governed by the experience, community and relevant features you are participating in.
Within the Cruise experience, passenger and crew environments remain separated.

Is my personal information shared between Cruise passengers and crew?

No.
Passenger and crew environments are separated, and there is no cross-visibility of profiles between the two communities.

What happens if I delete my account?

If you delete your OceanMingle account, your personal information and associated account data will be handled in accordance with OceanMingle's account deletion process and Privacy Policy.

ACCOUNT & ELIGIBILITY

How old do I need to be to use OceanMingle?

OceanMingle is for adults aged 18 and over.
Users under the age of 18 are not permitted to create or use an OceanMingle account.

What if I can't find my Cruise, Festival Cruise or Music Festival?

If your experience does not appear in the available selections, it may not yet be available on OceanMingle.
You can contact OceanMingle Support if you need assistance finding your experience.

FIND YOUR NEXT EXPERIENCE

What is “Find Your Next Experience”?

Find Your Next Experience allows you to move from your current experience type back to the main OceanMingle Experience Selector.
You can access it through your Profile.
From the Experience Selector, you can choose another supported experience type and then find the specific community you want to join.
For example:
Cruise → Profile → Find Your Next Experience → Music Festival → Select your
Festival
This allows you to move between different types of shared experiences while keeping the same OceanMingle account

SUPPORT

What should I do if I need help?

Use the Contact OceanMingle option within the Help section of the app for account, technical or general support.
For an immediate emergency, always contact the appropriate local emergency service, event or venue security, festival staff, or cruise crew directly

FUTURE EXPERIENCES

Will OceanMingle support other types of shared experiences?

Yes.
OceanMingle is built as a multi-experience platform, and additional shared experiences will
be activated over time.
As new experiences become available, users will be able to access them through the Experience Selector using their existing OceanMingle account.
